There were some challenges associated with power grid connection.
Power generated by the turbine is metered at a house that Calvin owns on Rowland St. This power is used at the house to offset electricity purchases from the grid.
A house efficiency study was performed in the Spring semester of 2008. The report can be viewed here, with accompanying spreadsheet here.
