We have arrived safely at Phnom Penh.

Along the way, many of us got the chance to try "squat toilets" - think of it is a hole in the ground.  I'll have to admit, I much prefer the "normal" toilets.

We were able to worship in the ICF church this afternoon. ( http://www.icfpp.org/ ) We met Navy Chann there as well as the person selling the greeting cards (see the second blog entry).

Our hotel is not as nice as Siem Reap but it has the basics.

Tomorrow we will meet the CRWRC staff  and  discuss what the various activities for the week are. We will also visit RDIC Cambodia.  Please visit their website at http://www.rdic.org/home.htm and see if you can find out what special technique they use to purify/filter drinking water.

We had a few people write about the question of the weight of the concrete fence posts.  Assuming that the density of concrete is 145pcf, the posts weigh around 120lbs.  However, all the students were convinced that these were much heavier - espicially after carrying them through the jungle for a while.

Regards,

Leonard.
